Featuring Camp 8 ATV recreation area, in Taylor County Forest, just east of Rib Lake, and Perkinstown ATV trails.
Includes detailed trail maps of Camp 8's entire 12 mile ATV trail system located within 17,600 acres of Taylor County managed woodlands.
Here is a map of the western terminus of Camp 8 ATV Trail in the Village of Rib Lake.
Brochure contains the complete Rib Lake Ski Trail system map, as well as connecting links to the Timm's Hill trail and the Ice Age trail.
During winter, these trails are double-track groomed by the Rib Lake Nordic Ski Club. The entire ski trail system is open during the winter season. No snowmobiles or ATV use is allowed at any time.
During spring, summer and fall seasons the entire trail system is closed. The only exception is use of Ice Age trail and Timm's Hill trail for hiking (non-motor) recreational use.
The Ice Age trail and Timm's Hill trail are open year round, except for a brief time during the annual November gun deer season closure.

The Rib Lake segment of the Ice Age Trail and Rib Lake area points of interest are shown. Both the "Calendar of Events" and "Business Directory" are dated from 1996. The entire ski trail system is depicted on the map in detail.
This 20 acre park contains a stand of virgin timber and a developed nature trail. The mix of trees include white pine, red oak, basswood, yellow birch and hemlock.
Gerstberger Pines Nature Trail is maintained by the Taylor County Forestry and Recreation Department. Here you can learn about the plants, animals and history of this unique old growth forest.
