The Rib Lake segment offers beautiful mixed hardwood forest trails for 4, 7, and 12 mile hikes during the spring, summer and fall, or cross country skiing in the winter. Enjoy hiking or skiing past many small lakes and historic logging camps on this moderate ability trail.
All hiking and ski trails are CLOSED during the gun deer season. NO ATVs or snowmobiles allowed at any time - hiking and skiing recreational use only!
The Ice Age National Scenic Trail enters Taylor County from the east at Tower Avenue in Lincoln County. The Wood Lake segment consists of 14.5 miles of trail, mainly footpath construction.
