The Wisconsin historical marker below describes the Rib Lake Lumber Company logging and milling operations.

As logging expanded, a large network of trails was created as part of the timber harvesting. The composite map below, from R. P. Ruesch, shows the extensive trail system that developed from 1882-1948. Parts of these trails are in existence today. This is our legacy!
