Please take notice that the Village Board of Trustees, Village of Rib Lake, Wisconsin, will meet in regular business session at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 13th , 2026, in the Community Meeting Room at 655 Pearl Street. The following agenda is announced:

-6:30 p.m. Call to order and roll call.

-Consider approval of minutes of previous meeting. ((March 11 th , 2026))

-Treasurer’s report.

OLD BUSINESS CARRIED OVER. Possible action with respect to:

1. None

NEW BUSINESS. Possible action with respect to:

1. Consider ‘publication’ of renewal beer and liquor license applications.

2. Consider Ice Age Days advertising donation.

3. Consider Tax Account CD renewal due 5/23/26.

4. Consider a picnic license for the Ice Age Committee on May 22nd.

5. Consider a donation to the Friends of Rib Lake for Fireworks.

6. Discuss ‘Blast Zone’ for the 2026 fireworks.

7. Consider a shed to be placed at the Ice Age Park.

8. Consider the board committee appointments.

9. Approve Michael Shiffler of Jensen, Scott, Grunewald, and Shiffler as the Village attorney.

10. Consider the LRIP bid.

11. Discuss the purchase of a hot tar patch.

12. Consideration of movement into closed session pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(c) considering

employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility.

13. Roll call vote to go into closed session.

14. Reconvene to open session to possibly act on matters from closed session.

NOTICE OF BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING AND AGENDA

May 13, 2026, 10:00 A.M.

1. Call the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m.

2. Roll call.

3. Confirmation of appropriate BOR & Open Meeting notices.

4. Select a chairperson for BOR.

5. Select a vice-chairperson for BOR.

6. Verify at least one member met the mandatory training requirements under state law (sec. 70.46 (4), Wis. Stats.)

7. Verify the municipality or county has an ordinance for the confidentiality of income and expense information provided to the assessor under state law (sec. 70.47(7)(af ), Wis. Stats.)

8. Review of new laws.

9. Acknowledge policy regarding the procedure for sworn telephone testimony and sworn written testimony.

10. Adoption of policy regarding the procedure for waiver of BOR hearing requests.

11. Filing & summary of annual Assessment Report by Assessors office.

12. Receipt of the Assessment Roll by clerk from the Assessor.

13. Receive the assessment roll and sworn statements from the clerk.

14. Receive the Assessment Roll and perform statutory duties:

a. Examine the roll.

b. Correct description or calculation errors.

c. Add omitted property, and

d. eliminate double assessed property.

15. Discussion/Action - Certify all corrections of error under state law (sec. 70.43, Wis. Stats.)

16. Discussion/Action - Verify with the assessor that open book changes are included in the assessment roll.

17. Allow taxpayers to examine assessment data.

18. During the first two hours, consideration of:

• Waivers of the required 48-hour notice of intent to file an objection when there is good cause.

• Requests for waiver of the BOR hearing allowing the property owner an appeal directly to circuit court.

• Requests to testify by telephone or submit sworn written statement.

●Subpoena requests, and

● Act on any other legally allowed/required Board of Review matters.

19. Review Notice of Intent to File Objection.

20. Proceed to hear written objections, if any and if proper notice/waivers given unless scheduled for another date.

21. Consider/act on scheduling additional BOR Date(s).

22. Adjourn at some-time later than 12:00 p.m. (or to future date if necessary) andafter all tasks have been completed.
